The Tankor reveal was really off putting to fans of Rhinox. The drastic shift in his character from loyal right-hand man to treacherous supervillain seemed to come out of nowhere.
I did really like the Tankor design in the show, though it was strange how different it looked from the toy.
Tankor's parody name is yet another Mystery Science Theater reference, to Phantom of Krankor from the episode "Prince of Space". It's one that has many memorable moments for me, and it pleased me to pay homage to it in my comic at the time.
